c1930, 2"; Yup, you are reading it right, this is referred to as a Fly Rod Lure in one of my reference books. Who woulda thought! I always had the impression the old boys were 'pure' fly fishers.

8"; Categorize this lure as 'folk art'. Hand crafted out of necessity I guess, but the maker was thinking of catching fish when they made it. Tool marks and brush strokes are visible and there is excess glue in some spots, but it is unique!
